  • My wife and I have never been impressed by mead before, but this was different. It had great flavor with none of the odd aftertastes we expected. I believe it is the Garth Cambray vertical...

  • I rarely rate and review businesses, but I had to do so for Maine Mead Works. The product is delicious, inviting, and satisfying. I sampled nearly all of the mead offerings over two days and genuinely enjoyed them all, with the spiced, hopped, and semi-sweet meads standing out as exceptional. But the highlight of my experience was the service that Wesley provided. He knew a tremendous amount about the mead-making process and the available meads, and he was a joy to chat with and learn from. Compliments to all—and a strong recommendation here.
  • RUN don’t walk to this place, as they’re tragically closing in January ‘23. If you haven’t had mead before, it’s almost a mix between beer, wine, and cider, but made with honey instead of wheat, grapes or apples/fruit. This place makes some delicious mead and certainly the best in the surrounding areas (and likely the whole northeast, based on the medals they won).
