We took a private lesson with Susan. She was really knowledgeable about paddling and knew how to pass on that knowledge. She had the ability to rapidly evaluate our skill level and showed us techniques to improve ourselves. The atmosphere was relaxed, no stress. She's passionate about kayaking. We definitely recommend her, we had a wicked time on the water. Zach made it easy for us to book the class, definitely recommend Portland paddle.
This is one of the most memorable, adventurous, and enjoyable experiences we have had in Maine! We signed up for the Fort Gorges tour with Joe and it was fantastic. It was the right balance of kayaking, nature, exploration, and history. Joe is an experienced guide with tons of historical knowledge about the surrounding area. He also ensured our safety by communicating regularly to our group about our kayaking route and talking to other sea vessels over the radio. Exploring Fort Gorges was definitely the highlight of the trip. Joe knew exactly where to take us, what to tell us, and where to catch the best photos. Thanks, Joe!
