  • I've done a few escape rooms in other cities so was very excited do the best rated one in Portland as well. The reviews did not disappoint! This was a really fun 60 min, even if we didn't solve the clues in time. I went with some friends, the majority of which have never done escape rooms before. We wanted to do the Sherlock room but that was sold out (I think it's their most popular) so we did Portlandia instead, which was much more topical since I was visiting. I won't spoil any of the fun clues for you but they had some inventive puzzles and at least 1 surprise. You don't need any Portland knowledge to do the room since all the clues are provided for you (you just have to solve them). And it's a good beginner room since my friends who've never done one picked things up pretty fast. There were 5 of us (the room accommodates all the way up to 10 players) so maybe being at half capacity led to us not finishing ... or that's just an excuse :) We were certainly engaged the entire time. It's in an industrial part of Portland, on the north side, with lots of free parking in the area. There are a few breweries close by so you can easily get something to eat or drink either before or after you do the room. I already have plans to come back to Escape Games PDX once I'm back in town!
  • My husband, baby (strapped to my husband), and I did Prison Heist and it was AWESOME! Such engaging puzzles! Everything in the room had a purpose, which I so appreciate instead of having dozens of extra props that have nothing to do with solving anything. Our game master was super helpful and they even let us start the room 20min early when we asked! Such amazing customer service!
