  • Visit this nice little attraction on the water front of the river next to downtown Portland for something different. It is really worth the visit and gives you a good glimpse into the history of Oregon's riverboat days. This is a good activity to do just about any time, but we went first thing when they opened and got our own private tour by one of the very knowledgeable docents. He really went into great detail about all aspects of the boat, the things that happened back in the day and current facts as it was related to why they were there and how they existed. It won't take up much of your time, but will fill an hour or more. This attraction is great for both adults and kids of all ages. Don't forget to ask for AAA discount if you are a card member.
  • My 2 1/2 year-old Granddaughter was too young to appreciate the maritime history and the engineering technology (and it was a very hot, humid day,) but Grandfather enjoyed it very much.
