  • We enjoyed waking around. We had the polish meal and it was amazing. I liked the fact you could use real plates and not the throw away kind . Also had plans to fill your water bottle. I loved the flow...  more »
  • We thoroughly enjoyed all the booths and atmosphere at the Saturday Market. There was music playing, yummy food, and lots of cool shopping all on the river with the famed Portland Oregon sign nearby.  more »

  • Best of Portland Art scene! The Sounds, Smells, the Excitement in the air! Most of all the Treasures to be found here, handmade at that! I've adventured down to the market since I was in middle school back in the early seventies when they opened. It's part of my history and fun memories. A Must do if you visit Portland!
  • WHAT A TREAT ! My wife and I were spending a few days on vacation in Portland recently. A visit to this market was on the to do list so we drove our SUV rental into town and parked on a private lot. We walked a few blocks to the area where the market was staged. I think we checked out almost every stall holder at the event and we were very impressed overall. The really neat thing is that every stall holder has to sell products that they have produced locally so no generic cheap imports are permitted. My wife bought a stylish shawl re-purposed from a man's sweater for her son's girlfriend from Sue Kenny of Painting With Threads, a pair of pretty metal earrings constructed from Niobium and made by Colorburst Studios. The lady operating this stall helped my wife make a choice from the huge array of colorful earrings on display. We saw musicians playing and lots of interesting food stalls though they were very busy all the time. Along the way we had chats with a few of the business owners manning their stalls and most shared stories with us about their business. It's a great location in a riverside park under a beautiful bridge and continuing into a closed down street. Near the end we found a stall which sold pretty bags and backpacks for little children. We had to buy one for our 4 year old granddaughter. I think our leisurely stroll looking at most of the stalls took us about 2 hours. It was a really interesting market and worth visiting for sure !
