As some have mentioned, the area is a bit rough. My husbamd and I had no problems stopping by midday. The market is definitely a must visit if you're coming to Portland. We had some delicious veggie..... more

Cool place but bad city. Won't be going again. Dirty, trashy city- not safe after dark. We prefer Seaside and the coast to I-5 corridor.

Good variety of booths, parking nearby. The sewer smell by the food carts was a bit much. The drum circle was by far my favorite part!

Such a fun way to spend your Saturday! There are tons of booths to checkout and the booths have a huge variety of things to look at. Sometimes I feel like outdoor Markets just sell you dips, spices and knives. The Portland market has a huge variety of art, jewelry, dips and spices. 😜 I also enjoyed the variety of food vendors: North African food, pretzels, polish food. It was all over the place and it was so hard to decide on one. Most importantly their were a good amount of port a potties and surprisingly they were really clean. I’m not sure if they are always super clean but they were the day I visited. A great place for peeps with kids, dogs or to just go by yourself.
