  • Well, I came a few days after a hurricane had come through. I started up and a group stopped me to tell me they almost had a 911 situation, and then a couple stopped to tell me they literally climbed....  more

  • 20 minutes loops trail. I suggest don’t take the part which is below boulder. The road conditions of that part is poor, and have risk of fallen rock. From the parking lot, after short steep hikes, you will get the top of boulders, very fantastic views of river valley, mountains and farm land. Read the information about carving in pavilion first, it will help you to understand these rocks 🪨
  • first off this isn't just a cliff edge as google has it label and much more than a hiking area. this is a HISTORICAL PLACE. this little hiking area holds what we call New York state Mount Rushmore. its in the Northern part of the Catskills. a very short hike but there is a plateau about 500 feet up and you get a great view of the valley. if you want a longer hike there is a 3.1 mile hike. checkout alltrails for the info. these cravings are believe to be some of the earliest Civil War monuments. so you get a nice little hike, history with a view. how can you go wrong. this is a great little hike good for the whole family. this a must do. do not pass up this gem. i first visit this place in the fall of 2017 and i enjoyed it so mush and to come back in the early summer of 2019.
