Whiskey Row, Prescott

#4 of 11 in Neighborhoods in Arizona
Historic Walking Area · Hidden Gem · Neighborhood
Named for the bars and drinking establishments that once defined the road, Whiskey Row today represents part of Arizona's frontier heritage. Shortly after Prescott was founded as an outpost of the Union during the Civil War, the street quickly became a center for saloons. You can wander this historical row and view wooden storefronts that recall the stereotypical architecture of an Old West town. Although the block was wiped out in 1900 by a fire, it has been faithfully rebuilt to its former glory.
