  • Highly recommend the cave tour. Our guide was fun and extremely knowledgeable. A peek at Turquoise Lake (while you're 125 feet underground) is astounding. The drip stone and flow stone formations are beautiful, but my favorite formation was the cave bacon. (That's really what they call this type of stalagtite.) This is an active cave, as in rock forming processes are actively at work. The cave also boasts some unique "only here" processes that have allowed scientists to develop deeper understanding of other caves that are not still active.
  • Make sure you do the cave tour. It is definitely worth it. It was very interesting and actually learned more than I thought I would. Plus the cave is nice and cool so a great way to get out of the heat. I'm looking forward to my next visit
