Open since 1872, Roger Williams Park Zoo is home to more than 100 species of rare animals. In the North American section, admire bald eagles, red wolves, American bison, and otters. Watch the harbor seals swim through an underwater viewing window. Other exhibits include the Marco Polo adventure trek, where you can see snow leopards, moon bears, and red pandas, and the Fabric of Africa, featuring zebras, elephants, and giraffes. Observe native wildlife, such as blue herons and turtles, as you walk the trail through the wetlands, Rhode Island's most endangered habitat. Visited this zoo on our way home from vacation. This zoo was small but very nice. Animals were well cared for. Only negative was the super high food pricing. I’d recommend a visit.

What a fantastic zoo. We were very happy to see the large enclosures the animals had. The zoo is very large and very easy to make your way through the entire zoo. There are many benches along the way if you get tired to take a rest. They time event the tickets so the crowds were not overwhelming. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is a good variety of animals. This was the nicest zoo I have ever visited. If you get tired of looking at animals they have a very fun zipline you can do for an added cost inside the zoo. There are carriages to rent for children and wheelchairs for those who need one. Parking was easy and ample. Very affordable prices would definitely recommend this for children and adults.
I like this zoo so much. They have so many animals. The size is good for a family. The Roger Williams Park also huge, includes museum and a lake that you can play swan boat. Will definitely go back when weather is better. Highly recommend to go early like 9am then you can easy to find a parking spot.
