  • The nature center is a great spot to leave your 2nd vehicle after launching by the dam. From the dam to the nature center is about a 2 hour trek. A bit faster paddling. Hope y'all enjoy it. Stay safe.
  • This was my first time here, and they did an excellent presentation for a birthday party I was attending. They were very thorough about the birds that they rehabilitate, what to do in case you come upon an injured bird of prey And we even got a personal tour behind the scenes where they keep the birds. The birds are very well cared for they all have their own cages and we got to witness the birds get cooled off since it's the middle of summer. We had a picnic lunch before the presentation, and the grounds themselves seem to be very well taken care of. This is a family-friendly place.
