  • This was a 5-star place for target shooting. They added a fence line that cut the lane usage by half. You need to get there early if you want to shoot. However, if you do get a lane, it is a great place to set up your own target and shoot at your own rate. I understand the fence line is for safety reasons, I just think that they cut too many lanes out.
  • We camped at a campground near the Bishops Castle and had a great time. The mountains in this area are much greener (they are called the Wet Mountains) than a lot of other places in the high country, multiple close trails, not much traffic, and an easy 30-40 minutes from the interstate. Our camp host was great too, support your National forests and clean up after yourself!
