Vermont Toy Museum, Quechee

A must see museum, its jam packed with games, lunch boxes, dolls, cards ,etc.All the stuff we played with & much more. Bring at least 1 quarter to activate the huge model train, definitely the best 25 cents I 've ever spent.

Very cool museum, quite the collection, even for a relatively small space. It would be EASY to spend many hours here studying specific toys or eras of interactive play elements. Ranging from centuries old ideas to modern electronics, the collection spans the gamut and epoch of human commercial play items. I'd be VERY interested in seeing them find a new space to install an exhibit that investigates the individual, non-commercial, and imaginative play elements of human behavior. Taking simple puppet forms from natural items and imaginative visualization with narrative that we ALL go back to in our minds replaying past events or imagining future experiences.
