  • Great little place featuring some true Americana. Who knew the story of the parade floats? Not me, but I’m glad I stopped to check this out. This was a great addition to our visit in the caverns...

  • Those with very young kids: we had a toddler in a stroller. There is an elevator to bring you down with the stroller if you don't want to carry it down stairs. It's gravel throughout so maybe bring a jogging stroller, because the rocks kept getting caught in our regular wheels but it wasn't too bad. We were able to push it through about 85% of the cavern. We then had to eventually park it and carry our son through some parts that required ducking and squeezing through passages, so just a heads up. It wasn't too bad though, and it's totally doable. I think next time, though, I will be using a carrier and having him on my back or something. Those toddlers get heavy QUICK. There was also a part where the lights go out completely to showcase how dark the cavern gets. Our son DID cry but it was very briefly and it wasn't too big of a deal. I honestly think it's because another kid screamed but that's OK. The guide announces when it is going to happen so you have time to prepare. We had a really great time! The guide was wonderful and accommodating.
  • 4 stars because it was a little expensive for 4 people, but otherwise it's great and my 11 and 13 year old loved it! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient, and the tour passed quickly. The Main Street of Yesteryear was interesting, but doesn't take much time. A few helpful things to know: 1. The cavern tour is a little over 1 mile long and there's nowhere to sit. Make sure you can stand/walk for at least an hour. 2. Some parts are somewhat steep to go up/down. 3. If you're taller than 4'5" you will have to duck through some short passages. 4. The caverns are humid, so even though it's a steady 50 - 55 degrees, by the end you'll be a little warm. Dress in some light layers.
