North Beach Park, Racine

4.6
North Beach Park is open for public use during park hours from 6a-10p. The beach is guarded from 10a-6p, 7 days a week from the second full weekend in June through the 3rd full week of August.

North Beach is Wisconsin's first beach to be designated as a Certified Blue Wave clean beach by the National Clean Beaches Council and was most recently voted #4 in USA Today's 2016 Reader's Choice 10 Best Freshwater Beaches.

North Beach has also previously appeared within the Top 10 Family Friendly Beaches listed compiled by Parents magazine, was one of USA Today's 51 Great American Beaches, was featured in Midwest Living magazine, and nationally known expert Dr. Stephen Leatherman, nicknamed "Dr. Beach", honorably mentioned North Beach as being the most improved Great Lakes Beach. He cited North Beach's handicap ramps and summer community use as proof of the beach's pro-active management in his rankings of the Top 5 Great - Great Lakes Beaches. He also gave his nod to its impressive size of 50 acres along 2,500 feet of shoreline allowing visitors to spread out to play in the soft sand and cooling waters and has an impressive playground to add to the fun.

Needless to say, we are very proud to call North Beach ours.

  • I went to listen to music at the Oasis ! It was truly amazing !! Nice and clean - friendly - I love that they had volleyball nets and balls available as well as hammocks to lounge in ! A TRUE diamond....  more »
  • This freshwater beach has a lot going for it and, most important, someone keeps it cleaned and groomed. A few more nearby restaurants would be nice.  more »

  • This is the most incredible beach! Even when there's 1000s of people there, it never feels crowded. I feel so secure taking my little one here. The lifeguards do a great job with crowd control! The little Oasis is incredibly inexpensive. The playground is loads of fun. I'd be here every day if I could!
  • Fantastic beach. Went with the family (wife, kids (8,5))on a quiet Tuesday afternoon in August. Not crowded, well manicured beach. Great selection of food at the concession stand also (food and beer/wine). Lifeguards were super friendly and plentiful. Great spot to enjoy.
