When you come to ride Dead Broke Farm, you may want to bring the following: camera, bottled water, and a tip for your guide if you have a great ride. Check in at the small green tent down by the barn in the horse hitching area. To promote a safe and enjoyable ride, anticipate 1 hour to check in and begin your ride, but do not arrive an hour in advance of your ride. You will have to sign a liability release form, pay for your ride, be provided with riding instruction, be told which horse you'll be riding, have a staff member (or volunteer) assist you with mounting, have your stirrups adjusted and saddles re-tightened, and be directed over to the trail head to join your guide. Dead Broke Farm reviews
Great place to go on a trail ride. I did the week camp and everyday I would get to go on a trail ride and do a craft. We would also get the option. more »
I went for an 11am ride with my best friends, each of us ranging in experience from beginner to advanced. Courtney and Jake were clear and concise in their instruction and really helped my friends become comfortable on their horses. We rode Viper, Bourbon and Monster and all appeared well cared for as did the other horses on the property. The horses were sprite yet well-behaved and the trail, shaded, and scenic. Courtney ushered us down the trails and was animated and fun the entire time. She even humored us with a few pictures along the way. We had such an amazing experience and fully intend on returning. -Cristina Baxter
Great experience today riding the trails. Courtney and Jake were super friendly and made me feel comfortable as someone who has no experience with horses at all. I was pretty nervous in the beginning but they continued to reassure me and didn’t start until I felt more comfortable. Courtney was our guide and it was an enjoyable time. She had us laughing the whole time and made it super personable. Jake was a big help getting the horses ready and everything set up. We definitely loved our morning with Dead Broke Farm
