Pullen Park features rides, an aquatic center, arts center, and theater that have offered a variety of social, physical, and cultural events to the public for over a century. Founded in 1887 as the first public park in North Carolina, it has grown over the years. Now, the facility offers picnic areas, tennis courts, playgrounds, pedal boats, a concession stand, and more. Enjoy a dip in the Olympic-size pool, hop on a train or carousel ride, admire the latest exhibit in the arts center, or just stroll the paths and bridges. If you work up an appetite, stop by the cafe. Plan your visit to Pullen Park and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Raleigh route planner.

I have been to Pullen park several times over the past couple years with groups of friends and always enjoyed the facilities provided. The covered pavilion and associated open areas always gave us some great opportunities to do our activities. I give it a hardy recommendation for groups, make your reservations early. Also great for a couple to check it out. Enjoy!!

It is a great place to take younger children. My grandson loved the boats, miniature train, carousel and playground. He had never been on a carousel so didn't know what to expect, but he loved riding the horse that moved. Topped it off with a popsicle for good behavior. The park is always clean and a great family place to take a picnic lunch. Parking is available.
