Sunnylands Center & Gardens, Rancho Mirage

Excellent out door space with many areas free to the public. Perfectly cared for gardens, displays and memorabilia. Visited in April so many of the aloes and cacti were in bloom. A real treat. They do offer paid tours of the grounds and main house. If not doing the tour, an hour is enough time to walk the grounds. Leave solid walking path accessible to all. Gift shop has many interesting and unique gifts, reasonable pricing. Also there is a small cafe counter and a few tables inside.

Such an amazing garden and well funded and taking care of grounds. The entrance is free for the gardens but if you want to see the house you need to make reservations online a month in advance. There is a small gift shop, a nice cafe. The display of cactus are amazing. There is a short movie that tells the history and the importance of its role in modern US history. Also showcase the Annenbergs involvement with US and foreign politics. There is also a display of the china that has been used while hosting different dignitaries.
