  • Such a beautiful wildlife preserve that I highly recommend exploring if you have the chance! I went on a day where the ground was a little more wet, so I walked the trails by the rice plantation and was definitely not disappointed. It was a gorgeous day filled with sunshine and I was able to see two alligators and some baby gators as well! I also saw different birds / herons. The lady who was working was very kind to share some information about the alligators with me as well as the land itself. I am very happy I went and it was only $2!
  • What a delightful place! Great spot for nature walks, wildlife, peace and quiet, and fun. The boardwalks across the wetlands are something out of a fairy tale. Some parts of the trails, like through the old rice fields, are not shaded at all, so prepare for that. Other parts enjoy quite a bit of tree shade. There are picnic shelters right at the parking lot too. It feels like you're far away from civilization while you're there but the city is just a stone's throw away. The staff at the exhibit was was really friendly and very helpful with directions.
