After nearly 30 years of being completely exclusive, The Golf Club at Fox Acres, formerly known as Fox Acres Country Club, has finally opened its doors to the public. Located in the heart of the Roosevelt National Forest and nestled away in a small mountain community known as Red Feather Lakes, lies one of Colorado's last remaining golf courses built to leave you with a truly breathtaking experience. In 1983, original owner, Raymond Stenzel and nationally recognized golf course architect, John Cochran, envisioned a world-class golf course engulfed in 460 pristine acres of nature's beauty. At 8,300 ft. above sea level, the Golf Club at Fox Acres provides you with an undeniable visually-stimulating experience. Aside from the scenic driving range, the Golf Club at Fox Acres is sure to make your next golf outing a fun-filled and enjoyable, yet challenging experience playing at one of Colorado's premier championship golf courses. With several elevation changes, 15 shimmering lakes, and over 100 sand traps, the course is designed to entice the inner golfer in all of us while daring you to take your game to the next level. Next time you're considering playing your next round of golf, why not escape the daily rush of life and head up the hill for an opportunity not worth missing.Plan to visit The Golf Club At Fox Acres and other customer-reviewed, writer-recommended Red Feather Lakes attractions using our Red Feather Lakes trip itinerary app.

Bring plenty of Golf Balls, the fairways will eat them, the lakes drown them. But the scenery is so beautiful you wont care.

We did the stay and play package at the course last weekend. The course is in great shape, best I've seen it in years. Ate breakfast and dinner in the clubhouse and the food was fantastic as always. Fox Acres truly is a hidden gem!
WOW! We just got married here and it was such an incredible experience. The staff was phenomenal, helpful, and kind in every way possible. Matt, at the clubhouse, got everyone easily set up with golf and their rooms. The chef and wait staff helped set up my reception space. It was so perfect and easy to be a bride. The food was also so incredible. Many of my guests commented on how usually wedding food is “just ok” and that our food was exceptional. I highly recommend this venue to any wedding, event, vacation, or gold outing. We will be returning just to stay and relive our wedding! Such a great day. Thank you staff at Fox Acres for making it so amazing!
