We provide our animals with natural and enriching lives while sharing a message of conservation. Come visit our beautiful animals including wolves, coyotes, mountain lion, bison, black bears, bobcat, lynx, fox, hawks, falcons, owls, porcupines, and many more.

  • YWS is the best part of Red Lodge! All of their animals have been deemed non-releasable before the decision to house them at the facility, which means that each of their animals is able to act as an ambassador for these species and to help educate about the problems so many local Montanan species face. And even though so many of their animals have hard stories, it's amazing to see these animals happy. The wolves came down the hill and gave us a warm welcome and the male black bear was splashing around in the bathtub.
  • I’ve never been here but staying nearby and hearing them howl in the morning and in the evening makes me feel alive, I don’t even need a cup of coffee anymore. I hope to meet them someday
