Create your own works of glass art while sipping fine artisan wine from Barnard Griffin in the only glass arts studio in the world located in a winery. Deborah Barnard is the resident artist and primary instructor.
The primary focus of my work in glass has its roots in many years of sewing and love of textiles. I enjoy combining unexpected color combinations into glass. To enhance the art work I often include glass elements that were made in a torch flame.
Current popular motifs include the wine glass with red wine and the petals either expressed as a flower or individually. At this point the work centers on utilitarian items such as trays, bowls and plates which can be used for everyday as well as special occasions.
My journey with glass began in college with stained glass. In recent years I returned to glass this time using heat. After studying at Bullseye Glass Company in Portland, Oregon I am continuing to define my glass techniques from beads to fused glass and into architectural elements.

I prefer this winery in comparison to the neighbors that they have. All of the wineries in this area have their strengths but Barnard Griffin is the overall best one for all categories of staff, food, wine, and experience. The inside atmosphere is very cool and well designed, the outside seating is not quite as extravagant as their neighbors and that is my only knock. The food is the best, the staff is the best, the wine is excellent, and it is the most reasonably priced.
Really delicious food in a very relaxed atmosphere
