Wayne County Historical Museum, Richmond

Absolutely Visit! Our family has visited hundreds of museums and we have never encountered a county museum that is absolutely filled with such a global variety of historical items. Wow! It was wonderful. The kids will love it! At least two hours, possibly more if you love history like we do. When you drive through Richmond as much as we do, it's wonderful knowing 40+ millionaire families are the roots of the city. The staff are wonderful, very informative. Can't wait to take our grandparents next time.

This is one of the best county museums that I have visited around the country. The museum has nice displays not just artifacts and stories. There is also a small pioneer village outside. I loved to see the old cars included here also. The city street display was amazing and a bonus. The displays here represent a part of American history not just Wayne County. Thanks for maintaining such a wonderful museum.
