Very cool place tucked away in a quiet corner of Richmond. An amazing time capsule of both English & American history. My wife and I had our marriage ceremony in the garden(s)! The manor itself is beautiful as well. I highly recommend taking the tour. We encountered 3-4 very knowledgeable guides during perusing of the building. The woodwork is astonishing. They also do live shows in the back yard overlooking the James. We saw "She Stoops To Conquer" there, and I'm excited to attend their Salem witch trials reenactment.
I loved visiting this place. What a unique museum! Lots to learn about the architecture, culture, engineering and ownership history tied to the house. Definitely recommend making the time to stop here when in Richmond.
