  • Four artists who were visiting really enjoyed both the temporary and permanent collections. Cool architecture and free to the public! Nice and knowledgable staff.

  • Made the drive from Lynchburg and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! We came specifically for the Ruth E Carter exhibit (which is $10 to enter and well worth the price of admission!) but loved visiting the other areas of the museum as well. Museum Guard Mike made our experience even better by telling us stories that we never would have known from the display cards. I will definitely be back!
  • This is truly a wonderful resource. While they do occasionally have paid exhibits you can visit most of the location for free. Always a wide variety of pieces. Staff is great. This is always a must stop each time I am in Roanoke. Allow at least one hour. Probably easiest to use the parking garage a block away. Handicap accessible.
