Arena / Stadium · Tourist Spot
Frontier Field is a baseball stadium located at One Morrie Silver Way in downtown Rochester, New York. It has been the home of the Rochester Red Wings of the Triple-A East since 1997. The park opened in 1996, replacing Silver Stadium in northern Rochester, which had been home to professional baseball in Rochester since 1929. Although the stadium was built for baseball, Frontier Field has had several tenants in numerous sports, including the Rochester Raging Rhinos of the United Soccer Leagues from 1996 to 2005, and the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse from 2001 to 2002. The ballpark seats 10,840 spectators for baseball.
Rochester-based telecommunications company Frontier Telephone of Rochester has held the naming rights to the ballpark since its opening in 1996. Frontier Field hosted the Triple-A All-Star Game on July 12, 2000.

  • After many years this venue holds up as an ideal place for a game. A solid AAA stadium. Good team store. Great local concessions and not a bad seat in the park  more »
  • Had a great time with the family at a game last season. Only downside is the fireworks show is LOUD. Wasn't prepared and was a bit hard on the kids ears. Would come prepared next time!  more »
  • Awesome stadium. Very family-friendly with lots of security. Not one bad seat in the house. Best place to sit in the summer is Under The Roof on the first base line. It gets pretty hot down near the field for a Day game. The silver family does a great job entertaining families with many in between ining activities. Lots and lots of food selections for stadium the size. They serve Houston peanuts, the best peanuts in the world.
  • Had a wonderful team event here. We had box seating for the game. The service for the food was very prompt and the person attending us was very pleasant and attentive. The hamburger and hotdogs were good. Surprisingly the pizza was really good, as well. It's not the typical bland flavor you'd normally get at a stadium. Overall, it was a great experience and a great game.
