  • It was awesome we saw 25 horses today. Our family went by there around 5pm and they were out. Right after a good rain shower it was a cool day. We even saw a couple of young horses. You drove about 3/4 up the hill and you can drive right next to them slow..
  • Solo traveler here: STUNNING and moving experience!!! I have a small SUV, FWD and it did fine. I didn't know what I was getting into but man I'm so glad I drove around! Literally could have spent the entire day here, especially if I had 4WD. There are some spots to stop at and read facts. But truly this is a freeing feeling; no one around you, endless miles of nature. The roads are mostly dirt. Saw some wild horses in the distance and then finally saw one up close. I went at just before dusk. An experience I know to never forget!!!
