  • Decent price for a few hours of strolling through calming gardens and gorgeous waterfall views. I could find myself sitting on the benches and relaxing or reading or book. Also a great place for photos. The staff was friendly and excited to tall about the different features and plants of the garden. Relaxing afternoon fun!
  • Absolutely stunning. This is a great place to bring anyone of any age. The path layout is easy to follow, and they provide detailed maps. There is massive koi pond right past the entrance. Every inch of the place is perfect for pictures and there are benches and rest points all over. The gift shop is large and has a multitude of things to buy. They also sell fish food by the register for $1 a bag.
  • Beautiful outdoor space in Rockford. They host live music during the summer on Tuesday nights with doors opening at 5pm. Pack a picnic and chairs for a beautiful evening outdoors! You can't bring outside beverages, but they have beers and wines available for purchase. They also sell food on site if you just want to grab something there. The gardens are open during the event to take a stroll or to sit a bit further away from the crowds but still hear the music clearly. The lawn filled up around 5:30, so if you want to grab a spot, make sure you post up early. The music starts at 5:45 and goes to around 7:30-8pm. Great way to spend a summer evening!
  • Very beautiful. Well maintained with numerous "areas" and lots of quiet spots to relax on a bench. We always love the west waterfall and that area. It's a really pretty spot for photos and just hearing the water falling. Buy the koi food for $1 at the entrance. Keep in mind they DO NOT do reciprocal benefits with other botanic gardens so your membership at your home place won't help. They sell separate membership which would be good for locals. They do offer student etc discounts but as of August 2018 adults were $9, students $7 and kids under 5 are free.
