Immigrants dominated the population at the Victoria Mine, crowding into small company houses while they struggled to achieve a better life in America. Old Victoria's four restored log houses give visitors a true feeling of the life they faced living and working at the copper mines of the Keweenaw near the turn of the century, attempting to make the American Dream their reality.

  • Interesting historical site related to the mining industry. The building docents did a great job explaining the importance of the mine and the surrounding areas. Only wish there were more buildings to explore.
  • Wonderful!! This is an amazing place and should be seen. The tour was one on one and informative and enjoyable!
