Longs Peak is a really the most astounding mountain in the east of the the Rocky Mountain National Park. The hike is long and tiring, but very beautiful. I would recommend start very early (2.00am to 3.00am) to avoid afternoon storms. The Keyhole route requires some exposed scrambling/climbing. Get accustomed to the heigth before attempting an acend. There are toilets on the mountain (at the Chasm Lake Junction) and there was water a week ago (little streams from the melting ice) All in all, a steep, dangerous and exciting climb. Be safe and enjoy the journey!
