  • Beautiful lake found along a beautiful hike in RMNP. This lake is much closer to the trailhead than the other major lake on the trail (Black Lake) so if you don't feel up for the 9+ mile round trip hike up to that lake, you can shave off more than 3 miles by stopping at Mills Lake (not that I would recommend doing that of course)
  • Challenging but rewarding hike in winter - snowshoes were useful. Saw some people walk out on the lake, so seems like it's completely frozen!
