  • The Good: tons of tall trees and shade. Sandy clean beach. Full hookup/pull through sites available. Campground host had a nice tent with games, books activities and 1st aid supplies for loan. Store is fun. Close proximity to Nibbles ice cream and a fun Higgins Lake gift shop next door (has better souvenirs than the campground store). Helpful staff. The Bad: Too many barking dogs. Bathrooms need to be cleaned better. Lots of litter around park. Fire pits in odd spots on sites. Some right next to camper hookups making the pit unusable. The Ugly: The people that camp there are at times questionable. But there were a lot more decent people than not.
  • I've camped there twice, and both times, it's been great. The beaches are beautiful, and the bathrooms are decently well-kept. The only thing that we had a problem with was that the most recent time we went, the dumpster wasn't taken out all weekend, and it made the campgrounds stink.
