Honig Vineyard & Winery, Rutherford

This winery was incredible from start to finish. We were a group of 5 and immediately there was an inviting, relaxed vibe. Their seating was comfortable and there was great music playing at the perfect volume. the service was absolutely AMAZING. It’s been a while so I can’t remember the name of the woman helping us out, she was from Colombia- kudos to her for really making this a superior experience compared to other wineries. The two brothers that own the winery came to our table and chatted for a while. They were so genuine and and the conversation was so pleasant- it didn’t feel forced like they were just doing it because it was their jobs, they truly just wanted to make connections with their guests. The wine was superb. The cab was perfect, but the crowd favorite was the late harvest Sauvignon blanc, tasted like sweet, smooth honey! After our tasting we bought another bottle and sat at a picnic table near the grape vineyards, we were able to walk around and enjoyed the scenery for an hour or so. The server gave us these cute plastic honig cups to walk around and drink with on the property, as well as a sample of their honey from the resident bees! By FAR this winery was our absolute favorite of 6. It’s been five months and I still get excited thinking about the memories we made that day. We will 100% be back for round 2 next year! Beautiful property. We did the classic tasting, my favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc. Armando was very nice and explain the wines very well. This was a great experience.
