Wallis Sands State Beach is a small state park located on the Atlantic Ocean in the town of Rye, New Hampshire. The park offers swimming at a sandy beach with a bathhouse and picnicking. The Isles of Shoals are visible from the beach. The parking lot can accommodate about 500 cars. The park charges a $15 per car fee that covers the use of the facilities.

  • Took a nice 2 mile walk after a big lunch... it was brisk, but the sun was out and we worked up some body heat walking. Lovely homes to look at and friendly folks walking or running along the...  more »
  • This is a very family friendly beach. Today when we walked the beach, it was quite brisk as the breeze was off the water and was very coool.  more »

  • When I went, it was off season. It was peaceful with very few locals on the beach, a number of them had dogs. It's a small beach which I understand can get lively in season. I enjoyed the peace and quiet.
  • Best beach! Very fun for kids to find hermit crabs and crabs.
