Both the indoor and outdoor displays were great. A few of my favorite things were the seasonal tracker, the clothing, and the maps showing what wildlife is native to where.

I am so happy my family stopped here. We learned so much about the Ojibwa people and my daughters loved exploring both the exhibits and the grounds. The art area with coloring pages was a big hit! Both video exhibits gave wonderful glimpses into Ojibwa lives. The staff member was absolutely delightful, helpful, courteous and excited to have us there. I especially appreciated that the shop was filled with only Native American made items. Take my money! Give yourself an hour to fully appreciate what this place has to offer. Extra points for a clean bathroom 🧽🧴

Very well put together smaller museum. We learned a lot during our short visit, about the lives and traditions of the native culture, but also about the horrible treatment afforded them by our own government. And the long lasting effects it had on their culture. Unfortunately it started raining and we didn't make it outside to view the outdoor exhibits, but we hope to return soon to go inside the longhouse they've built and learn more about the reburial of Pere Marquette. I would highly recommend! A must see. Admission is donation at your own discretion, but anyone who goes should keep in mind the place couldn't do all they do without those donations! Also have a lovely gift shop for some authentic hand made souvenirs too!
