Took the family up in an RV, got a great campsite just a short distance from an overlook of the Mackinac Bridge. A beautiful view at night! Great campground facility, easy in, easy out! Hope to go...

Great campgrounds and super clear (but very cold) water at the beach. The campsites along the periphery are larger and more private with more of a free for all in the middle sites. The showers were immaculate. Smoke from campfires can be a little overwhelming in the evenings. The state park is a short but hilly (for an 8 yr old) bike ride from downtown St Ignace which means easy access to Mackinac Island. We had a fun stay here.

We love to get a lakefront site so we can watch the freighters and have a view of the bridge. Popular campground for those going to the island. Close to a grocery store and town. Showers are newer, but they're like a power wash. And no shower curtain so it sprays everywhere and gets the entire room wet. The west end beach access hasn't been maintained so is overgrown with vegetation leaving little room for families to enjoy beach time. And many waterfront sites are so overgrown that it's hard to view the water and bridge anymore like in years past.
