Lone Elk Park reviews
We had the best time at Lone Elk Park this week… we even went around the loop twice! We saw bison, deer and elk both times! Don’t forget to stop at the World Bird Sanctuary at the front of the park! more »
We didn't see any bison, but we did see elk almost as soon we we entered the park. We got a real nice photo of one of the young elk lying within 12' of the road. Plenty of deer, raccoons, birds/geese.... more »
Lone Elk is amazing!! I go all the time because it is close to my house. There’s no guarantee you will see anything, but it’s better the earlier you go. I see animals about 85% of the time- bison, elk, raccoons, deer, and squirrels!!! So fun and beautiful!! PLEASE DONATE IF YOU GO!
Hands down one of the best parks in Saint Louis County. No guarantee of seeing any of the animals but going in the morning increases your chances (8am-9am is usually the best time). The park has a calming driving route as well as a hiking trail. The park is free but has a donation box if you’re feeling generous :)
