Displaying more than 750 exhibits, Saint Louis Science Center represents one of the most extensive centers of its kind in the nation. The complex contains different themed sections, including space exploration, dinosaur dioramas, and the exhibition hall known as the Exploradome. Try your hand with a radar gun to measure the speed and traffic patterns of passing cars. Or stop by the full-size planetarium, where you can watch a star show projected onto the building's 24 m (80 ft) dome. Admission to the center (including more than 10 exhibit spaces) is free. You'll pay for parking and special shows like IMAX films, planetarium shows, and flight simulators, for example. Check the online schedule for information on the frequent temporary exhibitions, activities, and shows hosted on-site. A visit to Saint Louis Science Center represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Saint Louis trip planner to plot your vacation.

  • I give this place a 3.5. Not super big and no real consistency of how sections were laid out. Video game area is fun. Long walk to planetarium; the part over the interstate is neat. But ultimately...

  • My children and I had a blast! Staff was so helpful! The Gaming Staff couldn’t have been more patient and a joy to be around! The cafe staff was very accommodating and food was ready in a timely manner! Movie and Star show was great! We will be back! Thank you!
  • Amazing experience! I loved the food, the movie (Asteroid Hunters), and the exhibits. The hands on activities were fun to try and the electricity bike is a good way to show kids how much energy is used and can encourage them to save. The employees were nice and informative, the parking lot lady gave useful info, the front desk lady was very accepting about my family and I, not having reservations, and the movie employee was good at answering my questions. I wish we could’ve seen more of the museum. 5/5!!!
