We are the first women owned — and brewed — microbrewery in the Twin Cities. We sell craft beer and food onsite in the brewery taproom and kegs offsite to Metro area retailers.

Our brews are handcrafted in 10-barrel batches under the close supervision of Head Brewer and Founder, Deb Loch. Our "Plow to Pint™" Series emphasizes creating brews with a unique local twist. We're partnering with local growers to bring their harvest, such as Minnesota wild rice, honey, raspberries, and pumpkins (to name a few) into UGBC specialty beers.

Our mission is to make craft beer more approachable to everyone, especially women, through diverse and appealing product offerings, education, and customer service, all in a welcoming urban environment.

  • I stopped by Urban Growler Brewing today for lunch. I think they have the best locally brewed beer and the best Reuben sandwiches in the Twin Cities. It is only the second day that they are open...  more »

  • I absolutely love their beer and their food! They have a dog friendly patio that is great in the summers. Only giving 4 instead of 5 stars because they started serving sauce on the side with their chicken wings, rather than having the wing/drummy itself coated in the sauce. It’s way more work (and less satisfying) trying to dip the wing in sauce, then ranch or blue cheese. I wish they would go back to serving them the old way, but it’s still a great place and I’d highly recommend!
  • Overpriced basic food. Seriously, don't order a burger here. If you tried one of these burgers and then were asked how much you would expect to pay for this kind of burger you would probably guess $6 at most, but I've had better burgers at that price. I paid $16 for a 1/3lb (6oz) bacon cheeseburger here! I'm ok with that price, but at that price I expect quality like Red Cow or an upscale restaurant and 1/2lb of meat, definitely not some low grade diner quality burger. They didn't ask how I wanted my burger cooked and served it just past well done, so even if they used good meat you wouldn't know. On top of that they charged $2 for a basic spinach side salad and served it on a 4 inch wide rectangle plate. Is this some kind of joke? I'd like to see anyone eat a salad off a narrow plate and not spill any on the table. 2 stars because of the beer.
