Hawn State Park is a public recreation area located 14 miles (23 km) southwest of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. The state park's nearly 5,000 acres (2,000 ha) include three state-designated natural areas: Pickle Creek, LaMotte Sandstone Barrens, and Botkins Pine Woods. Orchid Valley is also considered part of Hawn State Park, but is not connected to the rest of the park and is not open to the public.

  • This is a very nice park with a great selection of trails ranging from half a mile to several miles.

  • Wonderful experience. Did a back country camp at site 3. Quaint, quiet and well off the main trail. The campsite is at the confluence of two small creeks with small, splashing waterfalls and pools. FYI, the Red trail does have you fording pickle creek, and if in the spring time, will leave you with very wet boots, if not your shorts. But that's awesome so who cares.
  • My favorite MO state park. Awesome trails, great camping. It’s amazing to be out on the trail and hear the pines in the wind. There’s some incredible rock formations given where the park sits in relation to the glaciers ages ago. I hope they develop the east side of the park at some point, but in a way that maintains the rugged beauty
