Hawn State Park is a public recreation area located 14 miles (23 km) southwest of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. The state park's nearly 5,000 acres (2,000 ha) include three state-designated natural areas: Pickle Creek, LaMotte Sandstone Barrens, and Botkins Pine Woods. Orchid Valley is also considered part of Hawn State Park, but is not connected to the rest of the park and is not open to the public.

  • This is a very nice park with a great selection of trails ranging from half a mile to several miles.

  • They need better maps. Everyone was asking for directions. The Pickle Creek trail was very rocky but scenic. It's had nice picnic spots with grills

  • Love this trail! It is so pretty in the fall. Normally do the shorter trail (takes us 1.5 hours) which is relatively easy. Bring your dog too. After you’re done here head over to Charleville Winery to reward yourself after the long hike.
