  • Gormet breakfast lunch and dinner, knowledgeable and fun guides, and professionally run. We had kids and teens, avid fly-fishers, hard core kayakers, and 80 year old grandmas on our trip and everyone loved every minute.
  • The sun shone down on a warm Sunday morn as the rafts with air were filling and the adventurous were ready and willing. We soon climbed aboard after our gear was securely stored. The river whisked us away on an adventure to remember for the rest of our days. Our guides, Bill, Steph, John, and Josh shared their love of the river and lore, by gosh. We saw where Indians drew petroglyphs after coming to the river from the cliffs. We saw the mountain sheep scamper from the river's edge We watched for mountain goats and eagles up on the ledges. The rapids were fast and deep and dry we did not keep. The guides pulled to the sandbar to set up camp Some fished, some swam, some just got damp. The Dutch ovens were filled with potatoes salad was made with fresh tomatoes. Steaks were grilled to perfection on the grate of the firebox while we inhaled the aroma while skipping rocks. A meal fit for a king with all the fixings A cherry cobbler in the Dutch ovem they'd been mixing. The sun sank gently from our sight as we settled peacefully in our bedrolls for the night. The moon rose full to shed light on those that visited into the night. Soon we awoke to the smell of coffee. A breakfast of fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, and tea. Not even a lumberjack could want more! The dishes were soon washed, boats packed, we were ready for a new day of Salmon River lore. We explored the canyon and visited the home sites of pioneers, miners, and days of old We learned about Polly Beemus and "A Thousand Pieces of Gold'. We enjoyed the peace of the river--no TV or phone. The only news we needed was the intensity of the next rapid and the culinary skill that shone. We completed our trip but it did not end because we now have many a new friend. It was an awesome trip!!!! Mary
