  • If you should be so fortunate as to be ‘bookish’ and in Salt Lake City, you MUST visit this bookstore. Five stars are not enough to rate it; Five days could be spent exploring it. We travel the Country for work and pleasure and stop at local bookstores wherever we find them. This store is over 40-years old and survived all the chaos of these last years in the book industry. It’s clear why; with excellent staff, organization, and ‘browsing environment. The shelves welcome with intelligent and comprehensive stocking decisions as well as small note cards indicating employee recommendations. In addition to a substantial children’s book section; we found wonderful fiction, mystery, poetry, history, and most if not all the sections that make classic bookstores the inviting environments they are. The staff could not have been more helpful. Burn your Kindle! Buy a book! And remember the feel of paper to your fingers and of print to your ‘inner eye.’
  • One of the great bookshops. Cozy but with a large selection including a great kids and young adult section. Fantasy and science fiction is a notable weak spot, though what they have is well curated. Some nice small gifts throughout. Frequent shoppers club. Several good breakfast, lunch, and dessert choices near by. Restroom. Free street parking in front and around the area with a small free lot across the street. Credit cards ok. Not accessible as it’s an older converted house.
