The collection contains works by international artists, such as Henri Matisse, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Paul Gauguin, and Pablo Picasso. McNay Art Museum reviews
This is a good museum with lots of one or twos of famous painters in US and Europe. But the main room did not have a good labeling system for what you were seeing. You had to go to the end of a room.... more

Great art and history to the jewel. So many different pieces of art: sculpture, costumes, paintings and architecture. Have lunch at Twin sisters bakery down the street.

The McNay is absolutely lovely. I find myself coming here, quite often, to explore. It has so many beautiful works of art to admire and learn about. It's always a fun experience here. About my only qualm with it is that the security can be a tad overbearing, at times. I've had a few experiences where certain members of security would follow me and stay almost uncomfortably close around me, while I perused. I know that they're only doing their job, and I don't fault them for that. But I feel like they could still do their jobs quite well, without hovering so closely around the patrons. Apart from that though, the museum is a lovely and I always look forward to checking out the new exhibits!
Beautiful in and out Check out the new landscaping. Very romantic at night. Exhibitions sparkle. There is art for everyone and interactive projects for kids and adults. Best to get a membership. You feel as though you are coming home to family.
