  • I can’t believe people are calling this place overpriced! They must be spoiled rotten. NBWR cares for and fosters the natural breeding of critically endangered and extinct in the wild species! That...  more »

  • I really enjoyed this. We bought a second bag of food for the two of us but wouldn't say it is needed. A few of the animals are very friendly and come right up to the car but many of the others stay away and you need to throw the food towards them. Girlfriend liked this much better than most zoos as the wildlife has a lot of free roaming space
  • This was a spontaneous afternoon outing for my husband and I after a morning yard work. We had come here 12 years earlier when our children were children. The additions are significant and make the experience even better. The addition of a grassland area with the ability to stop and eat ice cream and restroom half way through drive was nice for families. The improved petting zoo, monkey, and picnic area made for a much better site, not to mention the full scale grill and gift shop. Going in the afternoon, on a weekend, in the middle of summer brought the expected crowds, and hot, full, and less active animals but the benefits of enjoying them, and, the scenery from an air conditioned car was still a good deal. Well worth the trip. Our last visit, less crowds, weather was cooler, animals super active, and it was very fun for our kids. As long as you set reasonable expectations, it is a great place! Just be patient and friendly while driving through, as no one is in front, the animals may block the road, and you may end up behind a relaxed middle age couple, like us, who no longer race from activity to activity with kids in tow.
