The San Antonio River Walk, San Antonio

4.6
A network of walkways along the San Antonio River, The San Antonio River Walk winds its way under a series of bridges. Lined with bars, restaurants, and shops, the walkways offer a different perspective of the city, away from the traffic buzzing one level above. You can explore most of the city's main tourist attractions by following this network of pedestrian-friendly sidewalks--without having to worry about parking or getting stuck in commuter traffic. In many sections, no safety fences separate the sidewalks from the water, so be cautious, especially with small children. • An absolutely beautiful mall with history. It's also a short walk from The Alamo. The scenery outside great. You get to sit and enjoy watching the boats pass by. I highly recommend taking the boat tour its amazing and full of history like I said before. There are so many restaurants and stores this mall is huge.
  • The Riverwalk is a beautiful place with many shops and restaurants. It's a lively place all day and well into the night. Be careful as you pass people because there are no guard rails along the canal side in most areas and you do not want to end up in the water. I was amazed that I didn't see anyone fall in with kids playing nearby and people staring down at their phones. You will definitely want to take the canal cruise which gives the history of the area.
  • Great place to shop and take a walk. Very nice view from inside the city. Better to go when it’s not so hot, in the evening or even at night! Very nice restaurants and stores along the way! Great place to go on a romantic night out or spend time with family while only really having to pay for parking.
  • We always love going to San Antonio to the Riverwalk. it's so much fun they have a lot of really cool stores around and they have little shops as well as a lot of restaurants. This time that we went they had an outdoor little market all along the river walk I definitely loved this rose it's made of wood. So elegant and fragile but so beautiful.... Can't wait to go again
  • More beautiful than pictures. Boat ride and background narration ware excellent. The ride was memorable on a summer evening. Some boats offer dinner on the go. I hope that must be an excellent experience ti have fine dinning experience while floating around in the boat.
