Petco Park, San Diego

4.7
Major League Baseball's San Diego Padres call Petco Park home. The stadium is different from most because of its grassy, sloped area above the outfield fence, called Park at the Park. During games, fans can watch games from here for a low price. At other times, you can walk through this area and see the stadium for free. Note the Indian sandstone and stucco, white painted steel, and dark blue seats; this design intentionally represents the colors of San Diego, with its sandy beaches, white sails on boats, and blue ocean. Take a guided tour of the ballpark to see usually off-limits areas, such as the dugout and pressroom. The grandstands provide superb views of the city's skyline, bay, and Balboa Park. A visit to Petco Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our San Diego day trip planning app to plot your vacation.

  • Nice new stadium. Easy to find $20 valet parking nearby. Many craft beers and lots of fine food places.  more »
  • Great tour...Mike Ray was a knowledgeable and funny guide (also was selling the tickets). Not a stressful walk around the park. The day before, of, and after home games, you don't get to go in the vis...  more »
  • Is the baseball stadium that hosts the meetings of the home team. It's a great show watching a live game of the San Diego Padres.

  • Loved my first experience. Cubs vs. Padres. The ushers inside were not only helpful and nice, they were thanking us for visiting them. A little difficult to find one’s way inside. But the views of the skyline are just amazing. A great time. And there were so many Cubs’ fans! (Go Cubs Go;))
  • Very great hospitality!! The server on our isle was amazing and very helpful even when I needed a Tylenol. He had great customer service! I did not know they had service to your seats. This was our 3rd time attending a game and this was the best experience we've had. Our section was B row 4 seat 8 however had that section deserves a 2 thumbs up 👍👍our orders came at a very great timely manner! Loved it..
  • What a great park, for a mid-market team. A game in August 2016 is the first time I've been there from out of town Seattle specifically. My rating is based against all other parks in the United States, of which I have visited perhaps 10. One of the highlights was Taco Tuesday and they were a hell of a bargain considering what was received. I do admire that these days the ballpark food at different places in the United States is half the fun. I do believe the Padres have the most reasonably priced seats of any club in the major leagues at this time. although my beloved Mariners lost there didn't seem to be any hard feelings amongst the Padres fans. Really just a great time and obviously a lot of home team spirit here.
  • America's number one ballpark! Petco Park fits perfectly into downtown San Diego! It has views of the city and the bay. They have a wade variety of food during Padres games. The park in the park is a really good place for the kids to run around and play. Which ever seat you get is perfect for viewing the field!
  • Great baseball experience. I've been to ball fields all over the country and this one was definitely up to par. Great views, friendly staff, plenty of choices for food/drinks. We didn't get to see the Padres win- but this experience was an absolute win anyway. Would definitely recommend. We stayed just blocks away so I can't comment on parking/traffic but will be back for more games!
