  • If you are a lover of aviation is a place that you can't miss to visit, they have original models of ancient and modern aircraft, worth. On the subject of the space they have very little material.

  • This is hands down my husband's favorite museum in Balboa Park. While it's not my favorite, it is still a great museum to come visit. Each time I come I learn something new, even though there hasn't been a whole lot changed to it over the years, there are a lot of exhibits to take in. In my opinion it is well curated and packed with a great deal of artifacts from both WWI & WWII that are interesting as well as informative. The docents are available to answer questions. Every one of the docents that we've met through the years have been extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, it is evident that the staff and volunteers take pride in this museum, as well they should. Be prepared to spend a couple of hours immersing yourself in history. There truly is a lot to take in. There are also interactive displays as well. When my sons were growing up, this was one of the few museums that we could take them that they actually enjoyed. There is a parking lot right in front of the museum. The lot does fill up quickly, as do most of the lots in Balboa Park. There are various parking lots throughout the park as well as an open air tram that shuttles visitors throughout the park.
  • Museum is okay - I think I was expecting more. It is smaller than other air and space museums in the country. It had great info and cool relics from many different eras. Had a temporary exhibition with cars and engines - that was very interactive and fun! I think kids would really enjoy the museum.
