Seaport Village, San Diego

4.1
Shop and dine at Seaport Village, a waterfront complex connected by 6km (4 mi) of cobblestone walking paths lined with ponds, fountains, and gardens. This village has 54 shops and galleries, 17 restaurants, and a slate boardwalk along the San Diego Bay. It was built in Victorian and traditional Mexican architectural styles over Punta de los Muertos, the location where the Spanish Expedition of 1782 buried victims of scurvy. Explore the specialty vendors, relax along the water, or take a ride on the center's antique carousal, which was built in 1895 and features hand carved animals. • Seaport Village has been such an amazing place to visit with my family time and time again. Going back to my childhood, I can remember taking walks around the village and oceans edge, and to this day, I still enjoy doing this with my kids now. With many restaurants, shops of all sorts, and views of the ocean and all that entails, this is a must see place for people visiting San Diego. As an added bonus, the electric scooters and bikes make for a fun and easy way to get around if you don't mind spending a few bucks to do so. Overall, I will continue to head back to Seaport on my vacations, and I highly recommend others do the same!
  • Nice and clean, great variety of stores and eateries, nice employees in the stores we visited. Lots of souvenirs available if that's what your looking for, plus other non-novelty type shops. The is an art gallery if your interested, with a lot of oceanic type art pieces and paintings. Plenty of parking, some stores will validate your parking if you make a purchase. Otherwise there is also metered parking. Beautiful seaside views.
