Baker Beach, San Francisco

#8 of 70 in Parks in San Francisco
Beach · Hidden Gem · Nature / Park
While it remains too dangerous for swimming, Baker Beach is one of the best spots in the city to take in views of San Francisco's iconic bridge. This public beach stretches along the Pacific just northwest of the city, which makes it easily accessible by various modes of transportation. Keep in mind that the northernmost section of the beach tends to attract nudists. A visit to Baker Beach represents just the start of the adventure when you use our San Francisco trip planning app to plot your vacation.

  • Beautiful beach with great views of the Golden Gate Bridge! The beach was so clean and not very crowded.
  • A beautiful view from an ok clean beach. Watch the dog poo, but a wonderful way to spend a sunny day on the west side of the city.
