  • Quintessential visit in the forward thinking, diverse culture of San Francisco - the walking tours are engaging with thorough explanation of the artist’s conviction. Enjoyed the quiet space amongst the noisy city backdrop. It is contemporary, and the museum is not overtly Jewish in its exhibits, so you will be pleasantly surprised by the breath and depth of culture.
  • We attended specifically for their tattoo exhibit about Lew the Jew. I found it very interesting, especially with the context of how taboo tattoos are in Judaism. I am not Jewish by ethnicity or religion, nor did I have time to explore the rest of the museum, so can only speak to that specific exhibit. Also, every staff member that I met there was incredibly kind and helpful.
