Create an itinerary including Lands End
Covering the northwesternmost corner of San Francisco, Lands End lets you enjoy the outdoors and gives you insight into the city’s history. The park offers easy hiking and cycling trails, picnic areas, and views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the ocean. The treacherous waters of the Pacific have been the scourge of many mariners, and during low tide, you can see shipwrecks dotting the coastline. The trails take you to a memorial dedicated to the USS San Francisco, one of the most decorated battleships of World War II, and the ruins of Sutro Baths, once the world’s largest swimming pool complex. Consider dressing in layers, as the weather close to the ocean can be chilly. Fog can sometimes obscure the views. PutLands End into our San Francisco holiday maker and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Most of the walk is easy. Scenic views of Marin Headlands, SF Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Very limited parking. Go on a weekday if you are visiting from out of the area.

  • Took a leisurely walk around this area. Quiet along the coast where you can get some pretty city views.

  • Great urban decay, one of San Francisco’s treasures
  • Best place to hike, see sunset provided weather god is acting nicer! (Watch out for cloudy weather). Wear layers as needed and check wind status as well - it gets super windy and cold even during sunny day. There’s just so much to do in this area: run, hikes, beach activities, photography, sunset, breakfast / lunch date, fishing, bonfire, and lot more! Family friendly place. Generally you can find parking on the ocean beach side if the parking lot on lands end parking is full.
